Summer Reading Program 2026 Recap

2026 Summer Reading Plan Roll-Up of Stats and Info

Sally Ploof Hunter Memorial Library has had a fantastic Summer of 2026! During our Summer Reading Program we enjoyed the company of 399 Summer Reading Program participants, 197 regular-programming attendees and nearly 1,500 visits to our library for traditional library services (NOT including Summer Reading Program attendees!) from the start of the program on June 26th to the end of the program on August 15th. We were thrilled to offer programming for toddlers, school-aged kids, teens, adults and families. The Summer Reading Challenge portion of our Summer Reading Program is still ongoing. It will end officially on August 29, 2026. That day will be the last day to turn in reading trackers, raffle entries and to receive prizes. So far, 79 kids have joined the reading challenge, along with 18 adults and teens. As of the date of this post, we have given away over 200 reading challenge prize packages and free books with even more to come as our participants finish up the challenge over the next 10 days. We thank you all for your participation and patronage. With your support we can continue to grow and offer even more to you and your loved ones!
