Internet Use Policy

The following guidelines apply to all computer users within the Library:

  • Computer time will not be limited, except at the discretion of the Staff in order to allow other users access.
  • No software programs can be loaded and all data must be saved to a thumb drive, removable media, or cloud storage service.
  • Typically, children under fourteen (12) years of age must be supervised by an adult (parent or guardian).

Please be advised that:

  • Patrons are financially responsible for any damage that they cause to computers. 
  • Parents are responsible for damage caused by their children. 
  • Software piracy is a crime!  Anyone discovered duplicating copyrighted software on Library equipment will lose computer privileges. The Library is not responsible for a user’s illegal activities. 
  • The internet contains information on all subjects and from many viewpoints, however, not all sources provide information that is accurate, complete or current and some may be offensive.
  • The Library cautions patrons that they should not give personal information (such as names, addresses, age, gender, e-mail addresses, credit card numbers, and telephone numbers) to strangers or web sites on the Internet.
